What's the general consensus on the torque limits of a stock 6spd clutch?
The car in question is a 2003 blobeye Spec-C. Not sure if there's any differences between model years regarding the clutch.
been running over 500bhp on the stock clutch for around 2 and a half years now ,, don't launch it , but don't baby it around either
My O.E 6 speed clutch was finished on just TSL 333 upgrade and my STI was 1 year old at the time I was not launching my car one bit just normal fast road driving....500+ horse power you will have to teach me that trick,Driving miss daisy comes to mind.SJ.

no trick , don't drive it like miss daisy at all but I don't launch it, done events in it with 600bhp scoobs and Ferrari 458's so had to play keep up and never slipped once , done hill climb stuff aswell as driving around with my mates who all have high power motors so someone would know if I drove my cars like a girl lol
had plenty of scoobs over the years and always found the 6 speed clutch to be a good bit of kit and most people swap it out far to early ,,and had plenty of 400+ scoobs running it for ages just fine so I think we will just have to agree to disagree on this one
Think it may be the launches that shorten the life of the clutch.
Yes I agree with you that aggressive launches can be a clutch breaker, but more Torque then your clutch can physically take is the usual clutch killer.SJ.
i was running 488/460 for a couple of years on my hawk sti with a pink box clutch ! drove it hard but never really launced it much ! sold it on last year and its still ok !
