Default Do i have Boost Creep ? P0244 error

Hi Everyone,

I start with my question first, and go then into details below.
I have had the common P0244 error, and I am now trying to understand where the problem is so I can look for a solution. I would like to her your opinion about it

I have a MY 03 impreza WRX with following mods :

VF35 turbo
550cc Pink injectors
STi tmic
255 walbro fuel pump
Cossworth intake
full 3" turbo back exhaust
And remap

The tubro, injectors, tmic fuelpump and remap have been made this summer by my local tuner. The car was running great and strong ; one day when it started to become cold , i was running in 5th gear at 150/160kmh on the highway and decided to accelerate a bit (without flooring it) when i was at 200/210kmh (turbo still pushing strong ) the car cutted the fuel and the CEL went on ; it was a P0244 error .
Went home resetted the error and everything okay .
I talked to my tuner and he said it could be the Wastegate solenoid ; so I replaced it , but after some time it happened again and I saw that this happens when the boost goes to 1.4bar (20psi) for a while .

Now the car is at my tuners shop, but he has yet not found a Solution for this error .

By reading some Threads about the P0244 error I checked first for any leaks in the tubes going from the solenoid to the turbo and wastegate-actuator , but they are ok .
I also read that the ECU automatically cuts fuel when it reeds for a longer time a boost pressure higher than 1.4bar ; is this true ?

My last idea is that it could be Boost creep .

Is there a way to know what could be the cause for my problem ?

Thanks a lot for your help , and sorry for my bad English, i hope i explained myself

Oliver

How cold is cold, denser air in the winter can cause overboost. Are you in the mountains.

No, I’m not in the mountains.
First time it happened it was something like 15 °C and it was End of October .
The last time otherwise was 1 week ago, temperature about 8/10 °C I made a 1st 2nd and 3th gear run and it happened at the end of 3th Gear ; I could clearly see that the boost reached 1,4bar for like 2/3 seconds and then the error with fuel cut and so on came out.

by cold I meaning colder then in the summer when the car was prepared .

Thanks

If you've changed the turbo most definitely but you would be better with a 3 port bcs and a remap.
