I have a 06 forester 2.5 non turbo. I'e been having a issue for a bit where the car will crank and eventually start but ya had to cycle the key a few times and hit it a cpl times to finally get it to go. But once it started I could let it sit for hrs and come out and fire up, but if sitting over night it would start hard again. But yesterday it decided to give up. I put a fuel pump in and have done plugs wires and coil pack as gen maintinance under a yr ago. Any help would be appreciated. I'l have to do a leak down test and check the relay also.

 

Could be a dodgy crank position sensor. Does it flag the engine warning lamp?

 

no check engine lite on. But that was a thought.
