Default 2.5 oil pick up pipe

i am aware that the 2.5 engines can suffer cracked oil pick-up pipes resulting in certain death for your engine, i know of killer b motorsports in the usa who do a heavy duty item to cure this but if i remember correctly you can use the 2.0 sump and pick-up pipe instead....

is this correct?

in basic trems the GC8, EJ25 and twinscroll sumps have differing pick-ups, dip sticks & tubes to match each sump style............

the 2.5 pick-up issue we haven't seen for years now and more likely it was simply a poor quality batch now rectified

not really answering your question tho, not a issue on newer 2.5 ‘s
But def was a issue on Hawk’s & early Hatches , .. you own a Hawk
If your engines been built then it’s prob been looked at .

Just drive it
