Default Stage 2 Competition clutch OK for road use?

So I need a new clutch for my blob wrx, what is the stave 2 like on the road?

Im planning some upgrades so figure it's best not to use a standard oem 1

Thanks

Yes they are good for road use. Had mine in a few thousand miles now and can’t fault it.

How much power does your wrx have...standard or modified? If standard I would fit the the O.E clutch and if modified or planning power modifications in the future then spec a clutch for your future mods.To answer your question though the stage 2 will be fine as it’s still based on a sprung hub clutch disc design, with increased torque clamping force capabilities.SJ.

It's around 260 just now, but I'm planning on a few upgrades this year

I've read a few clutches need a lightened flywheel but cant see anything about the CC needing 1?

It’s not needed mate,it’s all about preferences. They do do a job freeing up a bit more bhp but it’s marginal at best it’s more based on lighter and freer Reving engine turning weight inertia etc....SJ.

How much torque are you running through it?

I have a stage 2 clutch and lightweight flywheel in my JDM hawk and its lovely to drive, not too heavy or snappy but very positive engagement. It’s fully bedded in and running 364hp now all fine
