Default Prosport oil pressure gauge

When i got my hawkeye it came with prosport guages and the oil pressure sensor would be tempermental. Constantly reading 0 after a short drive.

After some searching on here i bought a new sender unit the 1/8 npt but found that mine had the different type sender. And to make things worse the cables were all frayed to original unit

ive managed to get the sender unit to read something but now its showing max 150psi on the guage constantly

can anyone tell me which way round these wires should be?

thanks
si

i think that’s the wrong style sensor for your gauge. If you have a peak series you need a different sensor

the smoked range of pro sport come with the sensor pictured but the peak series come with a harness and much better 3 wire sensor. £34:99 on line

has your gauge got a little silver button for the needle to show its peak reading ?? If yes you need the newer style sensor if not then I cannot help as on the smoked. Series of gauges there should be a green wire for the sensor and there’s not !

At a guess, the wires will be red and white to the two screw terminals and blacvk to the outside of the sender/earth.

The two screw terminals have a G logo, and an earth diagram. What do you mean by the outside of the sender?
