Window motors going slow?
#4
My front passenger is the same, i suspect its not the motor, as i replaced this and was exactly the same, the odd thing is, if you use the window button on the door its faster than if you use the drivers control button for that window, with car running as well

stick a multi-meter on the motor connection and operate the window switch, see what voltage you are getting at the motors,
could be a sh ite connection in the door to body loom section for example.

Cheers for replies. Guessing buying a new motor isn't best way then. Luckily I have full enclosure, so just lock the car and it does all the windows saves me waiting. But just wanted to resolve problem.

My passenger one is that bad tho the rubber is enough to stop it to think its reached total closure, it hasnt, i have to open the door and then press the button again to get it to fully close, im only talking 1cm or so but its enough to create wind noise grrrrr

have you cleaned the window runners and lubed them, not with wd40 lol.

A silicone spray, the traditional wd40 would just turn to a glue with all the dust in it,

Carb / brake cleaner is useful, but will strip the old grease away, so make sure you re-lube well.

Nope. I will try that next. Loads of jobs to add to the list. Rear arches, windows, rocker gaskets, new bumper support beams, new rear number plate lights.
