Default Aircon fan on Subaru 97 classic

I've deleted the aircon system but left with the aircon fan. When my fan kicks in they run together. I want to delete the aircon fan but a tech at work said isn't it part of a high speed fan set up and if I removed it would I risk over heating?

Isn't the air con in Subaru's generally beneficial as it's always mounted in front of the engine and helps with cooling in summer? Or so I've seen mentioned more than once on here. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've just had another look and the diagram doesn't mention that it is a high speed set up

You answered your own question in your first post. (When my fan kicks in they run together)
