Sorry for the multiple post, got a lot going on with the car at the minute...

I spent ages this afternoon stripping the horrible rusty and rotten heat sheilds off the exhaust headers, they definately aren’t going back on as I’m going to heat wrap the whole system but I was wondering whether anyone has done this before and cut off all the knarley bits from the standard pipework such as the old heat sheild mounting points etc?

I just want to cut all the bits off leaving a smooth pipe ready for wrapping but dont want to end up with a load of holes in the pipe.
