Hello All!

I have just taken ownership of my first Impreza and realise pictures and introductions are in order, but I have yet to take any as of yet! (waiting until after a good wash!)

However today whilst poking around the engine bay, I noticed a strange plastic box cable tied to the washer filler neck, with two wires connecting to each terminal of the battery. On closer inspection it contained a 22000uf capacitor (and not drugs as I initially thought!)

Does anyone have any ideas why this might of been done? It is a spec c type RA so has a smaller battery, could it be related to this? Could it help with starting?

Anyways, thanks for any input, and I'll get those pictures up as soon as!
