I didn't read all of this how-to but a few tips that come to mind, and I used whenever I do this:
1) depressurize the fuel system by idling the engine with the fuel pump unplugged (it'll only run for a few seconds), either by the plug under the panel in the boot, or (if you can find it!) the fuse.
2) I wouldn't recommend putting the IC bolts into the fuel pipes as they might have crud on the threads, personally I'd use something like these pushed half way into the pipe ends:

Thanks for all your help. Have decided to let the experts do it and also having tgv deletes perrin turbo inlet, turbo blanket and short ram fitted while it's all off.....and a map tweek
