Default Which head studs for 500hp ??

I have been doing abit of research and trying to find if the 14mm stud conversion is worth the effort ?

I have seen some people on nasoc claiming 700WHP + on 11mm arp 625+ studs ?

What's other peoples opinions ?

Build will be 2.1 stroker build running a GTX3076 around 8-8.2 - 1CR. Expecting to make 450-500 crank ish hp.

I would think 14mm is a bit overkill at that level. I'm using RCM Extreme 11mm but I will be at about 450-475 BHP so we'll see how long it lasts.

That's what I was thinking. 14mm studs may be the better option. But is it needed for that power/tourque levels.

Good luck with the build.

Not 'needed' as rcm extreme, cosworth and arp will suffice but just work out costs as some 11mm are pricey, a little extra for 14s but then machining block and heads so a bit more involved, but then you'd be set for life if in the future you decided on more power or high boost levels as 14s are really recommended if going high boost.
ultimately your choice if you want to future proof or not. DO NOT BUY THE LESSER RCM 11mm studs!

If doing a fresh build then it makes sense to go 14 to future proof yourself

At only 500hp, no need whatsoever for 14mm studs.

11mm torqued correctly with good gaskets should last many tens of thousands of miles
