Default Immobiliser Problems

Hi all new on here, having some problems with my 2003 STI, had a coolant issue a few weeks back so got recovery home, the car drove onto the truck fine but when I got home, I couldn't lock/unlock using the fob so I can't disable the immobiliser, car locks and unlocks fine with the key itself but just can't get it started, anyone got any ideas how to resolve this?

I hate electrical gremlins, I've just been through 2 weeks of my jdm legacy not wanting to start on occasion.
kept getting error codes on dash.
I bought new battery .
turned out it was the speed converter that was fitted behind the Speedo.
It had been in there for 3 years no problem.
removed it and starts fine now.
You could try disconnecting the battery overnight.

It's a nightmare! I'll try disconnecting the battery and seeing if that helps it
