Default Jdm Vab 2lt Sti Engine Block

hi,

i read message about vab 2lt jdm engine has forged pistons like v7 ej207 engine. block number is 10103AC510. where can i verify this? i didn't find any information about this block. if it's true this block could handle more than v7 ej207 sti block.

regards,

semih

its a high silicone type piston to allow tighter tolerances BUT as shown by the (mainly) 2.5 engines that isn't always a good thing........

it isn't as strong as the earlier factory 'forged' pistons

Ringland failure isn't as common on the 2.0 tho,

I always thought it was rod/rod bearings that were the weak point,

My 2003 UK Sti Engine is going fine at 450ish
