Need to lock and unlock to Start
Hi, bought a 2005 Subaru Outback recently and it had a bit of a attitude to being started. You have to relock and unlock it to start it and theres been a few times where I've had to do that multiple times before it will start.
Any advice would be appreciated thank you.
Liam.

Assuming it's still fitted with it's sigma alarm and has a single button key........
When you unlock the car there is a specific time in which the car remains "unlocked/mobilised" (If I remember correctly about 30 secs).
After this time the car re-immobilises and will not start.
To get round this leave the key in the ignition in the normal run position, press the button on the key once and then immediately rotate the key to the start position.
Also make sure you know the PIN code for the key pad or if not change it to one you know.
If you haven't got a copy a useful booklet to have attached below for download.
