Hi all, I've done a fair bit of work to my GC8, its far from standard, but this is baffling me.

My VF23 turbo wasn't boosting very well, so I thought it was dead. I got hold of a mint genuine TD05 to hopefully solve the boost issue, but its no different.

My car has a STi type R manifold setup, now behind the idle valve there was a disc which I can only assume is a one way valve to prevent boost from being forced back through to the inlet. This isn't in there, could this be the reason why im losing nearly all of my boost?

Have you got one or has it gone missing. I sent an icv to member a couple of months ago and sent one with it but can't remember who it was.

 

I still have one, I just didn't fit it because I thought it wasn't required

my other turbo is probably fine then, oh well we live and learn
