Default H25 heads - found on bugeye STI

I need some help as I cant find any information that matches what I’m seeing on my car.

I’m in the process of refurbing a 2002 UK STI and have some concerns that it’s acquired the wrong cylinder heads at some point in its life.

The bottom end is correct (definitely a 207), but the cylinder head casting numbers don’t line up. I was expecting S20 heads but have H25 ones.

Does anyone know what these heads are from?

Cheers for any help.

H25 heads are 2.0 heads, not that common to come across, had some off early Bugeye STI, & a 2.0 JDM Forester.

great, cheers for that. Very odd that Subaru used 25 for 2.0 heads, but good to know they may be the correct heads for the car
