breather pipe
gents, i know there is numerous threads on the breather setup for classics, i have both my heads venting to a catch can and was going to also vent this pipe, do i just vent this to a catch can also and blank off the pipe going to my inlet pipe as well as what looks like going somewhere into below the inlet manifold. can i just block both these off and vent the crank case?
I want to clock off all pipes going to my inlet pipe so there is also one on the throttle body that does into the top pipe of the injet, can this be blocked off also on both sides?
highlighted in red, can i block both sides off?
thank you

The top pic is the crank case breather
I'd say you have to keep that little box section then route to the catch can
In my experience, I ran two catch cans one for the heads and one for crank case
Litterally nothing was ever in the crank case can, but on track I would get lots of oil in the heads catch tank
I've since routed them all into one big catch tank
I think your 2nd pic is the set up/pipe work for the recirc dump valve?

hi, yes i think a 2 catch can setup maybe but have read a bit more on the pcv and i think i might allow it to still get air but via a catch can so its just air going into the pcv. and the other pipe out of the crank case going to inlet i will just block.
No that other pipe comes from the throttle body to the front of the inlet pipe, the recirv dv one is below it on down. this is definately a vent/breather setup.
I am just trying to limit the amount of oil/**** vapour going into my 'clean' inlet track on boost and idle and as this is a track only car id be tempted to vent crank and all and block pcv.

thats what ive done, 2 catch tank setup-
1 for both heads running to catch can and vent to atmosphere
1 for the crank breather pipe off the T piece that went to the intake pipe is now going to a catch can and athosphere ( the pipe from other side of T to the pcv from crank case is still going to PCV)

my word a meth kit? does it come as a kit that you install yourself?
I wish i was at that stage but not doing that until i take out my engine and do cdb inserts and go big turbo and head work.
How soon until we see that? I cant wait until the track opens again, hopefully march and ill have my headers etc installed for then.
