Ignition issue - EJ20
Hi,
I have an early EJ20 in a Volkswagen but don't know what the source vehicle was. I took the engine out to swap the gearbox and now I'm now having starting issues that look to be caused by the power supply to the ignition system as there's no supply to the white wire going to the coil pack. I've run continuity tests and the wires appear OK. I've been checking different sites for a wiring diagram and my ignition system seems different to most as the coil pack wires go to the ECU, not the ignition module (see pic). Can anyone help identify the version of EJ20 this engine is from and any hints that could identify why I have no power to the coil pack?
I can't appear to upload an image at the minute but the coil pack wires black/white/yellow go to the ECU plug B95 pins 4/5/6 respectively, and the wiring from the ignitor module green/white, yellow/green go to the ECU plug B44, pins 9 and 10 respectively. The remainders go to the cam sensor and earth.
Thanks in advance.
