Roof rack - 2005 impreza sti
Hey guys, I'm looking for a roof rack solution for my 05 sti and it seems there are very few options out there for this car. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I did find the Yakima option which seems to be the only way to go. However the only UK dealer has none in stock and when I phoned them up they werent able to say when they'll be back in stock either. ..

It seems the "clamp to the gutter versions" from all manufacturers have disappeared for the newage models.
But if you are in need, and can do some modding, this may be a solution.......using Hatch version bars.
First off below the roof trim strips you will find 4 brackets (similar to the roof rail mounts on the wagon)
Then use the following link https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/sho....php?t=2165823 and the links shown within.

This is the info on it - probably made by Mont Blanc for Subaru Europe (part number beginning with E) back in the day.

I've got a genuine Subaru roof rack which I believe is for a blobeye that I don't need, I think it is missing the adapters that bolt down to the gutters though.
I'd happily let it go to someone for cheap if it helps out.

So to update I picked up a Yakima whispbar on ebay for only £70 (figured for this price its worth a shot). I have some additional parts en route which I'll use to try and modify the existing gutter brackets and then fit some grub screws to mount the feet to. Heres some pics of the bars sat in position to show the intended finished look.
