Battery replacement
Hi everyone my battery is on its way out the car is a 2004 fsti with uprated stereo speakers and subwoofer , could you please advise me of a reasonable priced battery with enough power / what to look for power/ amp wise (so I don't walk into Halfords and get ripped off) much appreciated

Depending on the ice in the car and the alarm system I'd look into a yellowtop as i am, expensive and I don't like the price either but I have a yusa and honestly, I carry a battery jump starter everywhere, I can run the car 100 miles, stop, come back and it won't start, put the battery jumper on. off I go, doesn't matter if I run it 100 miles or 1 I'll be lucky if my car start's 3 time's without jumping. My alternator works, the battery shows fully or semi green dependent on usage but it's just not enough for what's in the car.
In my case I have dual subs in the boot, uprated speakers everywhere, android headunit that I have set to low power sleep, tracker and a viper alarm with a flashing protected by in the window and I'm planning on adding a fanless pc and dual screens in the back to keep the kids quiet on long journeys.
Admittedly I could set the headunit to power off straight away but my Mrs has this routine where she wont fuc*ing move until her music is on and her phones connected so to save my own sanity it stays on instant, not only that being instant it can connect to wifi and update/download new spotify playlists on the fly. In my eyes having to jump it with a convenient handheld device is easier and less time consuming than having to wait around for the headunit to start up or update etc hence the yellowtop to compensate for the extra power draw

005L battery. They are all much of a muchness at the £60-£70 price point. I presume a lot of them are all made by the same manufacturer and are the same, just with different labelling. The load put on the battery during normal driving is largely irrelevant providing your alternator is up to the job (unless you are running more load than the battery/alternator can actually produce!). Where you will benefit from spending more on a battery is when applying load with the engine off. I'd look for whichever battery comes with the longest guarantee.

Thanks again guys for all the advice I think I'll get a solar charger as the car's not used every day ,went and had a battery check was told the battery is fine ( after jump starting)
I have a focal bomba powered subwoofer which I notice isn't turning off like it should so I think I'll fit some sort of kill switch to it, .
I'll look on YouTube unless anyone can point me in the right direction.
Once again thanks for the advice 👍👍
