Default BC RACING BR-RH COILOVER PARTS

Hi fellow Scoobers 😆

Long time, no see. I trust you're all keeping it real? lol

I have a set of BC Racing BR-RH
(RH = pillow ball top mounts all round) fitted to my GC8.

I need replacement front springs and the front top bearing caps.

Does anyone know the part nos. for these 4 items? Or point me in the direction of where to find out/get them from.

I can't seem to track down the individual parts online!

Cheers

Yep. I'm currently in the process of trying to suss the springs, at least.

They do list springs individually, but there are lots of different options. I really don't know what specific option mine would be from the list - with respect to poundage, diameter, etc.

Most seem to be 5kg for the front... But my mechanic seemed to think they could be 11kg.

So I really need to get into the correct ballpark, before investigating further.

Pain in the ***. 😡

* Okay, so I've located the top bearing cap.

** Re the springs. If mine are 11kg, then there are 4 options for the length:

180mm
200mm
220mm
250mm

Does anyone know what the length should be for the fronts for the GC8 Impreza?

This would be for the BR coilover type (if that indeed makes a difference?)

Cheers.

I guess I need to jack it up, get the wheel off and measure the length (and diameter*) whilst the spring is uncompressed.

The only way of knowing, really.

* Pretty certain it's 62mm dia.

FTR, the front spring rate is more likely to be 5kg.mm

I wonder if there are nos. stamped into the actual spring which tells you its full spec 🤔

The internal diameter in mm, length in mm, and rate in kg mms is printed on the spring, unless it has worn off.

You can go up to +/- 2 kgs/mm on spring rate with your existing damper units.
