EG33 Compression test help.

EG33 Compression test help.
So im getting geared up to swap the eg33 into my car. I would like to test the compression on it but i know typically you would run a compression test with the starter turning the motor over. Is there anyway to run a accurate compression test while the engine is out of the car with the intake removed? If i crank it over by hand from the crank pulley will the numbers i get be accurate?
