Default GC vs GD WRX camshaft gear/sprockets

* Sorry if this topic has been covered before *

Can anyone confirm if GC8 version 5/6 ej205 camshaft sprockets and bolts are the same as Non-AVCS GD sprockets?
Trying to figure out what gears the newage engine in my GC is using. During removal I had to weld a nut to the retaining bolt on the exhaust cam as the hex head stripped, which melted the front of the plastic gear.

technically NO albeit the 2x lower exhaust pulleys are basically the same but specifically the LH top inlet cam pulley has different timing marks between late classic and the new-age cars as does the central crank pulley

Thanks for clearing that up. I need a right exhaust gear so it sounds like I’ll get away with a GD one. They do seem pretty pricey, tho.

new are fine BUT be very wary of s/hand ones if they have any chips / impact damage as they have been known to shatter with disastrous results........
we often supply the Ali RCM versions these days as they are far more robust particularly if heavily tuned or competition use

Not willing to take a chance on a second hand gear, especially on a freshly rebuilt engine. The specific gear I was looking at is here:

and here’s the gear that come off…
