I just purchased a interesting project, and have been working on a couple weeks. It cranks but is not getting spark, or fuel. It is a 1971 Porsche 914 with a Ferrari Dino Eagle GT Body kit with a EG33 engine swap from a 1996 Subaru SVX. The challenging part is it does not have OBD2 port hooked up so I can not pull any error codes.
What I have installed so far:
New ECU
Both Crankshaft sensors
Igniter Ignition Control Module
I have checked the fuel pump and it is working. I have a wiring diagram and ECU pinout but some of the information is pre 1996
I can not find a anti-theft device or kill switch. Any help or suggestions on what to try next would be greatly appreciated
the SVX was never OBD compliant and likely you would need to use an early Subaru Select Monitor presuming they have transferred the data wiring.....
is the ECU a new SVX one? has it ever ran?
The ECU from a 1996 SVX is long discontinued, and very hard to find even used. None on eBay, I was able to find one from a junkyard in Tucson. Getting signal from ECU. Have not been able to get running yet.
