2 but that was only pads and geometry, then when the power went up more things were done to each again. I would go this way again.

Jamie - remind me never to go in front of you
Just to add - def. 7 (not Jamies 7, the first one...) - I did that before I got the car Still need more though
Edited due to too many 7's!

Now now girls, let's not get bitchy. :P
It's interesting to see how the different cars receive different priorities from those who drive them.
For instance, in the case of scooby owners they can pretty much up the power right away since the rest of the car will take it to some extent.
Other makes/models need to give their engine a good seeing to, to make it fast enough to be dangerous!
But generally it makes sense to improve the handling and braking capabilities before you tweak the power, it's common sense.
Thanks for all your votes/thoughts. Keep em coming.

Please permit a survey in this section.
I am conducting some peformance related research.
In this thread my aim is to see which route you would advise when uprating a standard car. I know Scoobies are pretty sh*t hot in all areas, but standard cars can always be made better.
Please select the option you would choose (not what you actually did but what would be best, if you did it this way, cool).
Cheers in advance.
Options:
1) Go quicker, handle better, stop better.
2) Stop better, handle better, go quicker.
3) Handle better, stop better, go quicker.
4) Handle better, go quicker, stop better.
5) Stop quicker, go better, handle better.
6) Go quicker, stop better, handle better.
Please type the number of the option you chose in your reply.
'Option chosen: '
Please discuss, if you like.
Many thanks

P.S Just like to say that this is from a performance point of view (at the moment).

As long as you're not going mad on the go quicker bit I would opt for 1. The std handling and brakes are good for a bit more power than std.
If you plan to go mad on the quicker bit then the quicker but would be last. The order of the other 2 don't really matter. Being picky you might do brakes first as with handling improved you'll be going a bit quicker.

Defo 6. IMO, Better brakes can slow you quicker and therefore get from a to b quicker but if you are unsure of the conditions, getting late on the brakes could end up in disaster....
Just my 2p worth.

Im afraid I have to say:
4) Handle better, go quicker, stop better.
There nothing worse than having a chassis that cannot use all the power in a modified engine and nothing better than a chassis that can wring every last ounce of power out of the car.
Suspension first so that you can maintain the momentum in corners, then uprate the power until adhesion suffers, or they are bad do the brakes second.
Ive lost track of the times I have beaten more powerful cars with better handling cars.

neon washers? Is that what those little blue lights under the wondscreen of the sad little boys/girls cars?
I saw them on the brake calipers on a pimped up bmw 323i the other day. Oh dear. It would have been sad anyway but the fact that he looked like he was in his 40s was almost too much to take without crying.
