I filled my car up with 95RON Unleaded because I had no choice the other week and it was hesitating pulling away (ever so slightly, but noticeable), and I seem to have more turbo lag and less torque and i'm having to change down to move away compared to before.

Anyway, I put this down to the poo petrol and then when I filled up with Optimax yesterday its still doing it, I've done nearly 100 miles since filling up, surely it should be reset by now?

Just doesnt feel as responsive!

Any ideas?

Question

Dont know for sure but I think you have to do a good few miles before the ECU detects the higher octane fuel.

You could do the ECU reset (plugs under steering column trick).

Lets hope its just a bit of moody fuel, at least it wont take too long to use in a turbo

Cheers, MD.
