Unhappy

after the last service (22500), checking the oil level after being left for a couple of hours shows the level to be slightly above the notch...never mind the second hole that is meant to signify max level on the dipstick....will this cause problems ?..back to the dealer I guess to empty some out...

Shouldn't cause any serious problem if it's just a tiny bit over the mark, but if i remember correctly it could contaminate the boost solenoid which will cause poor running.

I personally keep mine at about 75% betweem the marks.

A Subaru dealer overfilled my old MY99 at two different services resulting in the oil and the wastegate solenoid having a coming together resulting in the boost being cut at high boost levels.

Had to go back to the dealer three times for them to fix it (twice first time and once second). If its overfilled get the dealer to look at it.

There is more info on this problem in the SIDC faq.

Fill in twice the amount and it will blow.

Just slightly over the mark wont do damage other than what's been mentioned...
