Got my car with 82,000 kilometres on the clock. (95wrx jap import)
after fitting the converter the faces were changed to mph ones.
i am now clicking over miles not kilometres, so my clock is wrong,i don't have 87,000miles on the clock but i don't want to tamper with the clocks.
Any suggestions

Had this on my WRX too.
If your car has come direct from Japan, you should have the export de-reg documents or documents from the auction. In amongst the Jap writing on these documents should be the mileage (in kms) in understandable characters.
Otherwise, your first MoT should state that the mileage is actually accumulated kms.
Then all you need to do is calculate how many miles you have accumulated by dividing the kms reading by 1.6. Note this number and then subtract it from the kms reading. To quote the mileage of your car, you just subtract this number from the 'mileage'.
eg:-
Your car when imported has 80,000kms on the clock.
Convert to miles -> 80000/1.6 = 50000 miles
then -> 80000 - 50000 = 30,000. Use this 'magic number' to conver to true miles.
So in a few years your car may show 115,000 on the clock.
This equates to 115000 - 30000 (your 'magic number'!), which gives you 85,000 genuine miles!!
Hope that makes sense??
