..just been charged £46+vat....are they having a laugh?..what makes these so expensive ?

To an extent profit, but the platinum tipped plugs in a subaru, are expensive. Expect around £40 a set.

not the worst, best price i got em in Dublin was 68euros = stg£42 including vat... main dealer will rob ya though!

I have just had a 30k **** service.
Charged £8 for plugs did they use the right plugs??

No, the platinum ones are like £8 each.
I have tried ordinary BCPR6ES and BCPR7ES NGK's in mine just to see, and they worked fine. They would just need changing more often. I normally ( and am ) using PFR6B's
