When a tyre blows, shut the throttle, don't touvh the brake, try and keep steering input to a minimum.
When I was 17, I tried a different approach - when tyre blows, make car perform 2 3/4 twisting front somersult.

HKSubaru - get yourself on an advanced driver course or two - preferably at least one on the skid pan. One you get a feel on what to expect from your car and what to do in response you'll be far better equipped than anyone can tell you via a BB.

Perhaps I should point out that was many years before I got a scoob. It was in my mothers 205 SR (5 door XS). Reporting home was probably more dangerous than the in car acrobatics.
Tyre blow out mid corner with driver 10 days after passing test = sudden realisation that you aren't a good driver despite what all 17 year old's think.
12 years on, (haven't crashed since) - still can't drive, but at least I know it now
