I have a MY97 Sti-3 & my car actually 'Takes off!' at about 4 1/2 RPM, I am sure it used to be earlier than that, just wondering when everyone elses Turbos 'Come to Life'

I have a MY00 UK Turbo - only mod is a Scoobysport backbox. Before the backbox, the turbo would start to kick-in from 2250 to 2500, with the backbox 2500 to 2750 rpm. Real push is felt from 3000 rpm. Hope this is of some help.

'93 WRX with big turbo meant big turbo lag - took until over 4k for boost to come in.
Now have full de-cat, and starts to pull in the late 3k rev range

std gtb, primary 2000rpm, secondary 4500rpm... Both start spooling 500rpm earlier.

I start to enter the grinning zone at about 3000 rpm and then warp speed at 3700ish. But by that time I`m not really looking at rev counter just holding on for dear life. On a MY99 WRX

P20, I wish I had your money
I honestly like my turbo as it gives me the 'punch' lower down than the 'big' breathing ones...I dont do 180mph all over the place, I do 40-120 in some places, it gives a good low to medium rpm 'punch'
