Does anyone else think that when you shut the doors with the windows down on a Scooby it sounds cr@p?
It clunks and rattles like a beeeeatch but when the windows are up it sounds fine.
Has any bright spark ever come up with a way to make the doors sound a bit more 'german'? I guess it something to do with the frameless doors as the back ones do it too.

get some of the sound proofing mats that the top ICE install guys stick everywhere, then put it on the inside of the doors.

 

When the window is shut the glass touches the rubbers and makes the door seal and you need to shut the door fairly hard to compress the rubbers..

When the window is down there is no rubbers to compress and the door slots into the catch without resitance and the window glass rattles in the door.. every pillarless car I have been in does the same..

You just need to remember to shut the door very lightly when the windows are down..

I thought it was only Polo Drivers that shut the doors hard?

I suppose you could slot something in the door top to hold the glass still...

It's just that on "The Fast and the Furious" (don't laugh) none of the cars seem to do it, but I suppose that's just sound editing to make it sound a bit better

I might jsut fill the door cavity up with cotton wool
