Where can I shove my Axel Stands?
#1
Bought a trolly jack and a couple of axel stands today in preparation for DIY fitting the new mid-section next week.
Tried to crank the scoob up today for a sneak preview and it was a real pain in the **** trying to squeeze the trolley jack in with the Axel Stands under the lifting points (sills)...
Anyone know where I can safely position my Axel Stands on a MY99 to best/safest effect?
All comments and mockery greatly accepted!?#%*!

Im not too sure of the correct place as most places with a proper car lift use blocks etc
However on the front I jack on the beefy crossmember that is at the rear of the engine from left to right. At the rear use a flat part of the rear diff. I always make sure i use a thick rubber pad and have a proper jack rather than a 'master maniack' type
As for stands from memory on the front there are some very thick chassis legs that again with rubber pads dosent damage any underseal.
At the rear I cant remember and its dark now !
All these are in my opinion and sh0uld only be used as a guide. As ever take all precautions when doing so.....

I use trolley jack at the jacking points and position the axle stands on the wishbone mounts to the chassis. Sometimes you find it easier to remove the wheel once up on the jack then locate the axle stand and slowly lower car into position. This works for me.
