Got my PIAAs fitted now but want to fit some more useful covers than the standard white ones that come with the kit for two reasons:

1, its obvious ive got PIAAs instead of standard fogs now
2, I have to stop and remove the covers everytime I want to use em

Was thinking what I needed was some perspex units like on the standard fogs, has anyone found a supply of these or have any tips on another way to acheive this? ie. drill out the standard cover and fit an inner perspex disk etc??? fit the standard perspex covers with tape and wire?

Jon.

Edited cos of naff spelling... oops

Cool

They were just pushed over the lights in the same way they would fit over fogs, the covers i had were for a MY01 so could be different to those supplied for older cars. The PIAA's and covers are sat in a box at the moment, let me know if you want to see how they fit, i'm not to far from you.

Simon, Might take you upon that offer...

7 foot - Are the 1000FFs the lights in the Classic Scooby PIAA kit? Got mine second hand so no idea what unit they are...
Any idea of price?

7 Foot - just looked at PIAAs website and the 1000 and 1000x ranges are small lights like the P1 style... what are the 1000FFs like?

I changed the PIAA to the HID 1000ff on my 01, the covers for the HID's won't fit the PIAA.

Question

1000FF are Hella units, and won't fit the PIAA's
I'm also pretty sure that you don't want to use perspex, as it's too brittle, but stand to be corrected. I thought "acrylic" was the stuff? My 1000FF covers from Scoobysport seem much softer than perspex, so they won't shatter.

MB - Nice looking car - nice idea with the covers but you still gotta remove them to use the spots... hmmm...

Alcazar - Im not sure what theyre made of but I meant the stuff the standard headlight / foglight covers are made of... looks like perspex to the untrained eye...

oops, sorry, I didn't know you wanted to use them!

Surely Subaru sell clear covers? Maybe give Performance Subaru a try.

Mine are always on and off as I like the covers, but like beaming saxo drivers with fogs on too

I think your question has been answered before I returned. Got mine second hand too so don't know much about them anyway.

Alcazar - v. pleased with them by the way. I take it the cheque didn't bounce then!?
