Question

About to change the oil in my Scoob & have noticed few people on here talking about removing the crank position sensor so I can crank the engine over to build up oil pressure without it firing up.

Can anyone tell me where I can find this sensor/connector, will this affect anything by disconnecting it?

Thanks

The sensor is at the front of the engine, just above the crank pully. It is mounted on the oil pump. You just need to pull the connector off, while you turn the engine over.

Location as above. It won't run it disconnected as is the main sensor used for ignition/fuel timings.

Scott,

That's the whole idea of disconnecting it. The engine won't fire, or inject fuel without the crank sensor, so you can safely turn the engine over, getting the oil circulating before start up.
