Hi all

I have a MY98 Impreza Turbo 4 dr and I was wondering how difficult it would be to remove these bits? The one on the passanger side has become very faded and the black has started to come off (I think may have been caused by someone using T-Cut or polish or something like that before I got the car). Looks terrible

I can't think of any other way to describe what I'm talking about (sorry no pics ) but they start at the top of the rear doors and run up along the edge of the glass of the rear doors. They also sort of sit on top of the rubber window seal.

I was thinking that if I had them removed that perhaps I could maybe have them re-painted, or covered with black vinyl etc. but I'm cautious about removing them in case I damage them or would be unable to put them back on again or maybe damage the rubber window seal and have leaks.

Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and if so whats the best solution?

Any advice greatly apperciated.

Thanks in advance

Gavin

Wink

When I had my MY00 resprayed they broke three of these trims, both the back ones and a front one were damaged I guess it's very hard to remove them without breaking them

I think you may be mistaking what I'm talking about. There are only two pieces of this trim. They run up along the top edge of the glass in the rear doors, one on the passenger side of the car and one on the drivers side. I don't know how else to describe them, I would need to post pics.

Some one must know what I'm talking about?

I know what your talking about, the metal bits not plastic? The bits that go up the rear pillar? I wouldn't mind knowing how to get them off either as mine are lokking a bit sad. Once off should be easy to spray them back to their former glory.

Exactly Tony

I was thinking that if I got them off that they could be painted or maybe some carbon fibre applied to them would look good too
