Don't need one but if you do you can raise the boost (use a knocklink too and don't go over 17.5 PSI maximum).

THE ROLLING ROAD AND YOU WERE MENTIONED.
WHAT'S THAT KNOCKLINK I'LL NEED?
REGARDS
MURRAY.

John - can't you just raise the boost with a tek 2?

I have a TEK 2.5 (John Banks special) and my Boost it around 17.4 PSi. I think the Dawes can be used to help eliminate boost spikes and can also be used to increase boost in the summer and decrease in the Winter

Cheers Phill C

PS I had a Dawes, but am Dawesless at the moment

Thanks Phill - I'm running a Tek 2.5 from John as well and took my Dawes off at the time. I'm currently running around 16.5 - 17 Psi - which I hope will go up to 17.5 when the colder weather comes.

The Dawes did keep it at a steady level.

Does the knocklink check to see is there is enough fueling? Isn't that what an AFR does?

Cheers
Richard

lol

Decat centre from Ozzy is in place but a bit short on the old pennies to get anything else done this now. A decat DP will be coming but I'll keep the standard backbox in place to keep the noise done.

Then, then........ list goes on and on my friend

What's next on your list? now you have a Tek from JB and a full decat.

Richard.

An AFM (like the Dawes device one) gives an indication the car is running rich on WOT, blue or green led illuminated. This is read off the lambda sensor in your downpipe.

The Knocklink checks for knock, which isn't good on the engine. They are different things and uses a micro phone!!

I haven't got a knocklink as I use Delta Dash to confirm my engine is ok

Cheers Phill C

PS My car did boost to 17.4 PSi but only ever seen that once and it was brief.....Roll on the cold nights

Full decat isn't on yet but once it is I've got nowhere else to go without a bigger turbo and or intercooler

I suspect the insurance company would laugh at me if I suggested those We'll see......
