mmm what noise

Question

when accelerating and decelerating i get a slight metalic knocking noise any ideas,


also i get a real bad knocking from nsr as if the rear shocks are knocking, but their new,

anyone had any experience with noises similar and what fixed it

Noises could be all sorts of things, but when you say you have new shock fitted...it makes you wonder. Who fitted them, and are all the bolts tight. And were all the tools accounted for at the end of the job. ( Thats a good one.. hate it when a spanner goes flying down the road )

everything seems tight no spare spanners unfortunately, but its really anoying ive checked underneath and everything seems ok , weird, any suggestions welcome bttt

When I had this problem on my car (MY97UK) it was the rear anti-roll bar bushes which had perished. Common problem I think especially on older cars.

Like the A.R.B bushes, the droplinks from the ARB to the lower arms also have bushes that wear badly and get very clonky over rough ground.
