Warning Light ! What does it mean?

The warning light which is an explanation mark in a circle come on this morning. Can anyone tell what this means please?

Thats to do with the braking system. Check the fluid level. Could be brake pad warning indicators too. What year of car are we refering too ?

For my MY93 WRX, that light comes on when i put the handdbrake on and goes out when i take it off.

Don't know if that's what it should do tho.

If the fluid level is Ok try giving the float in the reservoir a quick prod. On my 95WRX it sometimes get stuck and makes the system think there is a fluid level problem and lights up the warning light.

The problem seems to have cured itself, so perhaps the float was getting stuck. The fluid level wasnt overly low so I hope it was just a sticky float .
