can u run a sti type r on sul only ? is it safe? is it more likely to detonate than one thats had an octane boost used ?

 

yeah its fine,just dont sit at hi revs for a long time, common sense really. DONT USE UNLEADED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and ive found optimax to be really ****E!!!

 

BIGEND - What would you class as high revs? I have a type R and normaly sit at about 4,000rpm which is just over 80Mph. Was thinking of looking into having a different 5th gear installed so dont rev so high but not sure yet.

I use Optimax and have a knocklink and a Link ECU and dont have any prob's. Dont get any knocking.

 

that is fine, he means dont cruise at 8000rpm in fifth but then mine was quite happy to do this.
