without going into the obvious and saying sensors is there anything that put the abs light on the impreza, comes on after driving about 1/4 mile , brake fluid is alright
nice little quick check you can do is clean the faces of all the sensors and make sure they're fitted correctly. majority of (all makes) abs faults i see are due to dirty / loose sensors
