There is no automatic IC Water Spray on the EU STi model!!!! The light comes on when the water level is low so fill it up a bit? If you don't press the WS switch, it won't spray anything.

Matt

Sorry, I have no manual for STI7... Want to empty water tank and switch the spray off. Where its fuse is? Also want to know whether I/C spray light goes on only when water level is low? Cheers. Maxim

I take it you have a Jap spec STi 7 ??
Just turn off the switch. ??
It will only work when you use it manually then.

No, I have a european STI7... I think it's exactly the same as type UK, but has left-hand side steering. I'm aware of only I/C spray button which turn it on manually... But how can I deactivate automatic spray function? Is there a kind of switch? Cheers

If it is the same as a UK STI then there is no automatic feature only manual.

Cheers,

Rob.

Why do you want to switch it off? You could just let the bottle run out then it switches off automatically

stupid question time

it it's automatic why do you want to remove it?

if the weather's cold then surely it won't be activated anyway and if it does then surely that means the engine needs it

Guys, it's getting really cold over here during winter... The range is -10 to -30 by Celcium. I'll make sure there is no water in the tank otherwise water will crack it and hoses... But I also want to get rid of "I/C spray" light which goes on when water level is low in the tank... That's all I want. Cheers

ok another stupid question

any reason why you can't add a washer additive to stop it freezing

subaru must have thought this through as they must have customers who use them in scotland in winter and the wind chill at a decent speed plus scotish cold night temps would soon freeze ordinary water ask them what they recomend

failing that why not disconect the sensor in the bottle then you can leave it empty
