Question

MY99 coming up for its 82500 service.

Probably a stupid question and simple answer but seeing as it shouldn't be plugs I was wondering if someone has had similar.

Car always started within a second of turning starter motor but now on occasions seems to turn over 4 or 5 times before firing. Also idling 'slightly' rougher than previous.

Possible crank position sensor failure?

Oh yippee another failed sensor....damned sensors!

ITG panel filter now OUT and paper one back in with MAF sensor recently replaced and recently cleaned so all should be ok there?

Just curious to see if anyone's had similar and what it turned out to be?

Thanx in advance

Try disconnecting your MAF sensor and if it starts and idles in the same manner then it could be your MAF

Thumbs up

Thanks but disconnected and cleaned on Saturday and replaced only a month ago so hopefully not the MAF!!!!!! again!

Cheers for the advice but will try getting the fuel pressure up by leaving it on ignition for a few seconds before starting...

Thanks again

As I explained to Sipie on the phone this morning this is always the case with my car but never bothers me as I assumed its normal. It usually takes 2-3 turns in fairness and then it booms into life....is there a problem?
