Can anyone tell me which of the VF series roller bearing turbos would have similar boost characteristics, ie spool RPM and top end flow as my RHB52 VF8, before it exploded (it doesn't flow to good now).

Has anyone else had problems with turbo shafts breaking in two?

What's it from?

Is that the large VF turbo from the 90/91 legacy RS?

I would have though that te modern turbos were better in terms of flow and spool up. The VF28 is very good spool-up wise with 320hp being a sensible limit for it. VF23, 30 and 34 all flow a little more but with worse spool up (34 is roller bearing version of 30 which is sleeve bearing).

I would think MRT in Oz have the most experience as they were doing stuff with old RSs and now do the range of VF turbos too.
