Question

Hi,

I have a friend who owns a MY93 WRX, it has been discovered that his heater matrix has sprung a leak and is non-repairable. Now he has been told that a UK matrix might fit as a replacement,...now "might" aint much good because once paid for he can't return it, and its over £200.

Does anyone know whether a UK Turbo heater matrix will fit a Import WRX (93)?

Dimensions of OE WRX Matrix are:
Width: 165mm x Height: 200mm x Depth: 50mm
(with a 2 bolt hinge fitment)

Can anyone please help as his car is in bits & off the road and he's in a dilemma about what to do.

Cheers in advance

Try these guys... http://www.midland-impreza.com/spares.htm

I have never used them but they seem to sell everything secondhand and new so should know the score and probably save your mate some money in the process.

Also there is Grade A but not sure on the website or contact details.. anyone else?

No probs..

Might be worth using search on here searching under Radiator or something like that. Haven't seen many posts regarding Heat matrix but many under radiator and air con radiators so same suppliers might do heater matrix's.

Thumbs up

Yep the heater matrix went on my MY96 uk Scoob Subaru were quoting £600 odd all in!! Got the matrix from midland impreza for £40 I think, and changed it myself. It's a bit of a pain in the ar$e as lots of bits come out but quite frankly not work £400 worth of labour!!! The job took me and a mate about 6-7hrs all in!
