sports cat
#3
Power Engineering do a sports cat centre section. I have one in conjuntion with a ScoobySport downpipe and Magnex box. MOT no problem (with original ECU back in for the test!) Fairly expensive but if you speak to them nicely they'll fit it for free!
Doesn't the P1 have a single free flow cat as std.?

JohnD,
I also thought the P1 had a fancy downpipe cat as it was in the you & your Subaru Impreza book.
I tried to source a P1 d/pipe for my Forester and was told by Pete Croney that the P1 was the same as a std UK turbo d/pipe.
I don't know why the book says otherwise so I am a bit puzzled??

If it's the same as a standard UK, there are quite a few sports cat systems about. Power Engineering and Milltek already been mentioned, plus Graham Goode, APS (from JW racing) and MRT spring to mind. I've got a full APS system on my bugeye, and it's great; 3" right through to the back of the centre, but standard 2.5" backbox, noise levels similar to prodrive backbox, frees up plenty of power too.
