Hi everyone,

Last night I was driving along and then the car just cut out while I was changing gear(don't think the changing gear bit is relevant), I changed gear and let out the clutch and it started again and was ok until about 300 yards from home when it cut out again. I turned the ignition and it wouldn't start, luckily I live at the bottom of a hill so I was able to coast it home. I tried to start it on my drive and nothing happened.

I have power to everything, lights, alarm etc. are working and the starter turns the engine over and there isn't any noise from the engine to signal any damage but it just won't run.

To me it seems it must be ignition/electrical or fueling.

I have had a new uprated fuel pump a few weeks back, could this be related.

Has anyone got some simple steps I can take to determine where the problem lies.

Thanks in advance

Exclamation

Possibly a fuel injection relay, this went a few times on my Astra GTE, especially in wet weather. not a nice experience when you are on a motorway and suddenly no power.

Thanks lads,

Fuel pump wasn't working.

Erm...Blown fuse, strange it only seemed to affect fuel pump though.

Cheers anyways
