After recently havin my engine rebuilt after the classic Big End No3 problem, I have now done just over 800miles !
I know that I have to have the Oil changed after 1000miles, but what is the FULL service schedule for a Jap Import STi Type R (v5)
Bear in mind, it had done 22,500miles when it went and basically the engine has had a full overhaul, cambelt, pistons etc etc !!
Also, I plan to have a Blitz Nurspec R fitted soon and I have heard on good authority that on an STi v5, it need a remap after any mod's i.e. Exhaust, Induction etc have been done as to avoid it running incorrectly in the future ??
Cheers all,
Scott

Service intervals are the same as the UK classic car, 7.5k or 6 months whichever is first, most people wont do 7.5k in 6 months or will change the oil long before the 7.5k but the 7.5k and 6 months are the reccommended guidelines for servicing a Subaru Impreza.

Change the oil every 3000 miles if you don't want to have to re-do the engine in another 22,500 miles. Don't forget the filter, don't forget to fill the filter before fitting AND dont start the engine until the oil warning light has gone out. How'd you do that? Disconnet the cam angle sensor, N/S cylinder head, connection about 6 inches back from the head and spin happily away without fear of it starting. When ready reconnect and off you go!
Simple.
