Stutter when cold / damp

Over the last few weeks, when the mornings are cold / damp (even when car in garage) for the first 1 - 2 miles the engine seems to stutter, like the plugs are not sparking. As soon as the engine has warmed a little it is perfectly fine and runs sweet.
Is it just the damp getting into the points?
Do other people suffer from this too - car is MY95.
Cheers

Definately something to do with the plugs. Have you checked the rubber (maybe plastic) bit on the plugs? It could've perished and let in some water in it.

Hi, possibly plug leads, try looking under the bonnet at the leads when its cold/damp and dark, there might be some visible blue arcing from the leads. if so, try some ignition sealer as a temp fix depending on severity, also i dont think our scoobs have points, think its more advanced than that
, but im sure ill be corrected if im wrong,
Cheers,

I always find that until the engine is warm, it stutters when you put your foot down. Had it checked on rolling roads etc, but they said nothing wrong. I assumed all were like that when cold.

check the little rubber insulators on top of the plugs. If they are not fitted, then try fitting some, as this was a "revision/update" for this type of problem, so when taking the coil unit off, should be what seems to be a rubber cap, off a spark plug end, on top of the plug.
if you need some, then PT No:22489AA030, should do the trick.
Its to prevent a buildup of damp on the plug insulator tip.
